I have a Baby!!! and the Best Husband

Hello everyone! So I have been a little crazy and unable to get on the computer and thank you all for your comments and encouragement.
So yeah . . . I have a baby and haven't slept for 5 days, been crying and smiling a lot, but I have to tell you all that I have the best husband in the world. I would not have made it these past few days without him. He loves me and takes care of me and he helps me to feel like I am capable of this extraordinary challenge of being a new mom. I love him so much and love to see him with our new baby.
It has been quite a whirlwind of emotions and figuring out this baby thing. Breast feeding is the most challenging thing in the world, ad trying to stay sane on no sleep is really hard, but it has been so rewarding to have my baby sleeping in my arms and just looking at her perfect face, which looks so much like Russ, it is crazy!

These are sweet, crazy days. I miss the high that comes with everything being new. But you need that high to get you through to where you acclimate to no sleep!

Halle is beautiful. I am so happy for you Lace. I am coming to SLC in November and want to come and meet her. I am on your team. Breastfeeding is not easy!!! I personally think it is way worse than labor.

Your babus is beautiful. It sounds like Russ was a champ during the entire Labor Extravaganza! I wish I could be there to come visit you. I hope you are adjusting well! I can't wait to see you at Christmas. (Less than 3 months!)

She's so cute. I remember how tough it was to breastfeed. You see all these other people and think how do they do this! It takes awhile, but you both will figure it out soon.

lacey! congratulations! i just read all of you and russ's recent posts and i almost wanted to cry because it is all just so sweet! you sweet lacey... having the first baby is the HARDEST thing! so wonderful but so hard...and being tired sure makes it fun too! its exausting all of the emotions and new pattern to each day. just be easy on yourself and know that you and russ know best for your baby... that's why she was sent to YOU specifically. you sound like you are one lucky mama to have such a supportive and excited husband/father to halle. everyone one will tell you this, but its true, it gets easier...and gets more amazing and fufilling each day!

p.s. i just love the humor between you and russ... you two crack me up! what a fun couple, and now parents!

Lacey your comment sent me swimming in memories. The first 2 or 3 weeks after becoming un-pregnant are totally overwhelming. It's hard to feel anything the way you think you are supposed to. Your hormones and the lack of sleep and the billions of sudden changes in your life leave you very little to keep you grounded. But suddenly one day in a few weeks, your little baby will fall asleep in your arms or on your shoulder and you will feel totally at peace. And if that doesn't happen by your 6 week follow up don't hesitate to mention it to your Dr.

Lacey, we are doing really well. I am working at Nuskin in Provo and am still in school. I'm trying to set a record of longest time spent in school and I think I'm pretty much set to break it. I go to UVSC and will be done in 2009 or some time sooner if I can make the schedule work.

Tamber works at BYU, she's one of the assistant swim coaches for the womens' team. She also has her hands full at home with 2 kids now. Emma is almost 2 and a half and Marcus is just over 3 weeks now. He was born on Sep. 30th. Life is very busy but we are enjoying almost every minute of it.

You'll be a great mother. Glad to see that your husband loves baseball. Must be a good guy. If he watches it as much as me, you and Tamber will be looking for new husbands around the same time. jk.

Where do you guys live? Where does your husband work? What day was your kid born again? Anyway, good catchin' up. Take it easy and stay in touch.
