Smile, Black Eye, 24 of July

We had to get some pictures of Halle smiling with her cute teeth.

You can't really see her black eye in this picture.
I tried to adjust it so you can tell, anyway, it is under her right eye.
My niece Aspen's birthday is on the 24th of July,
so we always go down to Russ's sister Jen's house
to celebrate that and Pioneer day. We had yummy burgers
and delicious homemade ice-cream (so good!!!)
Aspen is the one with the pink shirt and jean knee length shorts.

Halle was acting a little sad that day,
so Annie tried to make her feel better by putting a crown on her
and giving her some baby dolls.
She LOVES baby dolls and she LOVES her aunt Annie!

Little Mommy, Dear, and Draper Days

Halle got this cute doll from McCall Cannon, she LOVES it. I showed her how to give her a bottle the other day and she tries so hard to do it herself. It is sad because she gets really frustrated already, she makes these little grunting noises because she can't get her doll to get in the right position. It freaks me out that my almost 10 month old has anxiety already!

We went to draper days and watched the fireworks. Halle was pretty tired so we actually left early and then pulled the car over when the fireworks started, and got out to watch them.

Russ's Third Love

Russ love's playing, watching, talking about and just thinking about baseball. He loves it and it makes him happy, so it makes me happy. I am so glad that Lani's hubby loves baseball too and is now on Russ's team. Now I have a friends with me for the 3 hour long games!

Happy Birthday Mom!!!

My mom is the most wonderful, woman in the world. She is the most selfless, loving, caring person I know. She would do anything for me and I love her so much. We have such an awesome connection. Not only are we a lot alike, I swear we can read each others mind's. There have been numerous times when I have gone to visit my Mom and have been thinking about, let's say her sugar cookies, and when I get to her house she has made some. Crazy, I know but it's true. I hope that us being so much alike means that I will look as good as she does when I am her age. She is the most beautiful 60-something I know.




I love her so much, and have finally gotten a glimpse of the love she has for me through having and loving Halle myself. And Hello look how freaking gorgeous she is!!!

A sad day . . .

The other day Russ told me he was going to try to sell his scooter. I think the next day someone came to look at it, and the day after that it was gone. Russ was in shock, it happened so fast and he wasn't sure if he really wanted to let his baby go. He loved that thing. But he felt good about saying goodbye to his mint green Stella. Before they picked it up we took some pictures. So here is Russ and his two babies. And I also added some pics of my Baby!

Wasatch Back

This last weekend was a crazy, fun adventure for me and 11 of my friends! We ran relay style from Logan to Park City. Yes we are crazy, but it was so fun, even though I had some major knee problems, and a few other girls in my car had issues as well, but we switched stuff around, (thanks Mary and Laura) and we made it! I have to say I am proud of myself and everyone that did it. Hopefully I can figure out what is wrong with my knees so I can do it next year and not be such a "Debbie Downer"!

Softball, Projects and the Cutest baby ever. . .

Russ has a mens softball team he plays on, we are both on a co-ed team and Russ also plays on a baseball team. So we are taking Halle to different games 3 times a week.Go Daddy!!!

So i finally did it. I got back down to my pre-pregnancy weight. I am not saying that it is my ideal weight, but I am still proud of my accomplishment. I don't have a scale at my house, and I was at my Mom's today and she has a couple, it felt really good to get on the scale and see the number 135. I am sure you think I am crazy about posting my weight, but I feel like it isn't the number but how you feel about yourself that matters.

don't let your spouse drink and sleep

So the other night I woke up grabbed my water bottle and took a sip. It was a restless night of tossing and turning and not being able to fall asleep. I always have 2 water bottles next to my bed, because I get so thirsty at night. Well this night after I took my sip I layed there with my bottle upright on my stomach just being annoyed that I was awake, and thinking about who knows what, when all of a sudden I had cold water all over me. I had somehow fallen asleep while holding my open water bottle and it slipped out of my hand and got all over me. I was shocked and wet, and I was trying to make a bunch of noise so Russ would wake up and feel bad for me. Alas, Russ is a very heavy sleeper, so I didn't get the sympathy I didn't deserve. I wiped up what I could, moved the blankets so the wet part wasn't on me, and tried to go back to sleep. Moral of the story, don't lay in bed in the middle of the night with an open water bottle.

Random

So I am a dork and just read "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" . . . yeah I know I am a major HP nerd. I just wanted something easy and fun, and that was it. Anyway it got me to thinking about how I wish I had a crazy awesome imagination to be able to write stories and just come up with something totally fun and different. I am so impressed with JK Rowling's creativity and talent for writing. I don't know how she can make me feel like Harry is my friend, and I just want to escape to their world. Well I won't bore you with my nerdery (hey at least I can make up words, that's a start on my creativity) but I was just thinking about it, and wondered if you had any ways you express your creativity and or imagination.

Only a few days later . . .

Halle started crawling a couple days after that last video. She has had an extremely eventful last 2 weeks. She got her first tooth, her first sickness, and she started crawling! It is so crazy how fast they grow up! She will be 8 months on the 25th!

My sister Lindsey is engaged. She is going to be married to Brody Miles, in August. He is going to be a great addition to the family. We are so excited for them.
