18 Months

Halle turned 18 months on March 25, but we just went to the doctor for her well visit yesterday.
She . . .
weighs 23 lbs. 14 oz. (40th percentile)
is 32 1/2 inches tall (70th percentile)
has a 48 cm. head circumference (85th percentile)

I can't believe how big this little gal is! She talks so much, she not only talks a lot but she can enunciate really well. I am amazed how much they learn in so little time.

One of the cutest things she does is say's "byeee" to everything. If we are leaving her room, she'll say "byee pillow."If we are leaving the bathroom, she'll say "byee potty." It's a lot cuter when you hear her say it.

Here are some pictures of my cutey pie!

When it was warm we went outside for a walk. You can see her battle wounds on her nose from the attack of the sidewalk.
"ice-ceem" Halle loves ice cream, as you can see.

She is so funny how she eats the cone from the bottom.

Just look at those eyes!
Pig Tails! Halle doesn't like getting pig tails in her hair, but they are so cute and make her look so old, as does the cell phone in she is talking in to.

V100

"vSpring Capital announced today the 2009 class of the vSpring Capital Top 100 Venture Entrepreneurs, also known as the v100."

And yes I am going to brag, my husband is on it. You probably haven't heard of this V100, I hadn't either, but I was still proud of my Hubby for being someone that other people recognize and someone who contributes to society. Here are a few of the main points of what it means to be a V100.

"The v100 was created in 2004 by vSpring Capital as a tool to identify and recognize entrepreneurs who are most likely to experience successful venture returns with ties to the state of Utah."

"vSpring asks members of the Utah business community to nominate individuals who are most likely to lead a successful startup venture in the next five to seven years in the IT (information technology) or biotech industries."

"Those nominees who garner the most votes from their peers in this second step of the annual voting process are then elected into the v100 and become members of this ongoing community of entrepreneurial leaders. "

Lani had her baby!

Lani had her baby yesterday. His name is Connor Steven Waite. I was an idiot and forgot my camera, but my sister Lindsey had hers and has already blogged about it, so I am going to cheat and just give you the link to her blog and you can check out their cute baby boy!

Picnic

This morning my Mom and I went to the Puddle Jumper Shoe's Sale. I got some cute sandals for this summer and cute shoes for next year. Lisa came over and we all went outside for a picnic and playing on the swings. Here are some pictures.

Russ's sister Annika made that hat, is it not the cutest thing you have ever seen!

Lately . . .

So, lately I have been a little busy and have hardly had time to check my email, let alone check all of your blogs, let alone sit down and write one. My little sis, just pointed out to me, that my last post (which wasn't much) was on the 10th and today is the 26. WHAT?!? Crazy. So anyway, here is what has been happening.

~ I got a new part-time job (I am still a full time mother) working from home, online, for a company called zonder.com. It is fabulous because I can work my 20-25 hours a week when I want. I only work when Halle is asleep, so I don't miss any mommy opportunities. Besides she would never let me just be on the computer without asking to see "big bird" or "elmo" or "Nawni" (her aunt Lani) making it impossible to get anything done with her around. But that is ok, being mommy is more important to me!

~ Secondly we found someone who wanted to rent our house and we had to move out in less than a week. Every day I would take a room, pack it up, clean it up and of course be mommy at the same time. My fabulous boss was so understanding and allowed me to take the week off, which was so nice, because I was working like a dog and felt like a ran a marathon every day! not that i know what running a marathon feels like, but let me tell you running up and down the stairs with big boxes, scrubbing, reaching, bending, lifting, shoving, pulling, all of that is a workout and with all the added stress of knowing I had to be out fast, fast, fast, was crazyness and I was exhausted at the end of each day. Oh and my awesome neighbor Tasha who was so nice to take Halle for a couple hours so I could clean my bathrooms! Thanks again Tasha!!! Seriously that was such a big help!

~ Thirdly we moved in with my parents. They were so nice to come up to our house on Saturday and help get the last few boxes and clean the last of everything, that I wasn't able to get to during the week (which was a lot actually). So after we got everything out, we had to pack it into my parents basement and make us fit. We are all moved in now and everything has been going well. It has been nice to have my mom to help with the little things, and of course good dinners!

So yeah, that is what I have been up to lately. If you wanted to know.

I can dream can't I ?

I love this adorable bedding from Pottery Barn Kids. I would love even more if I had the sewing skills to be able to make my own. The next time I do Halle's room this is what I want to do.

Lights at Temple Square

I know it is a little late, but I've got nothing else to blog about and these pictures are pretty cute. We went to see the lights at Temple Square with Russ's co-workers, right before Christmas.

I was at my Mom's before we went and we were not getting out of her house without at least 5 layers each! I am not saying I didn't want them, it was freezing that night and I wanted my baby to be warm. I wanted to be warm too.

Anyway, Halle was totally like that Randy kid from A Christmas Story, "I can't put my arms down!" She loved it though she was walking around and when we tried to put her in the stroller she really didn't fit, I had to shove her arms in. Sad!, but I was glad she was warm!

Sledding and Cute Pictures

This past Saturday we had the whole Page family over for some pizza, games, sledding, and hot chocolate. Halle was so cute, she went down this pretty steep hill with Russ. She loved it! The next time she went down, Russ had to dig his boots in the snow to slow them down, the snowed sprayed all over Halle and she didn't like that, I don't blame her. Anyway we had a great day.
She had so much fun!
AJ looking so cute all bundled up!
Landry helping Hal's walk to the park with the hill. I LOVE their hats!

And I just had to throw these pictures of my cutest baby girl in!

She was so cute reading this book. Her favorite, it's full of nursery rhymes. (I am pretty sure Laura gave that to me, thanks! She seriously LOVES it!)

Apron

Russ's mom made Halle and all of Halle's cousins these adorable aprons. They are so cute and I had to get a picture of Halle in it. The problem is, she is one, and holding still just isn't in her vocabulary. . . (see below)

Yikes! She is giving me the look of death! And, crawling behind her crib and chair, her favorite little cubby hole.
It was hard to carry that baby doll back through that small space.
She just wanted to be in charge of the camera, so I got my old one out to see if she would hold still and "say cheese" . . .
This was the best I could get. Isn't it darling. My mother-in-law is amazing! She even did it without measuring Hal's, and it fits perfect!

Worst Commercials EVER!!!

I HATE the Taco Time commercials. How can they seriously put those on TV and keep using the same crappy actress (if you can call her that?) over and over again. Does anyone agree with me? If you don't know what I am talking about here is an example.

Christmas Eve Traditions

Russ and I are very lucky with our families Christmas traditions. My family has more Christmas eve traditions and Russ's does more on Christmas day. So we don't have to be running around trying to get a little of both in.
Sisters
Halle opening her baby doll from Grammy and Grandpa! Russ couldn't get that thing open fast enough, Halle really needs to learn some patience! I wonder where she gets that from?

Christmas PJ tradition. My Mom always got us new jammie's for Christmas and we would always want to wear them before Christmas, but she would never let us. They all look so cute, even though we couldn't get the babies to hold still.I love Christmastime! I think it is so magical, and it is just getting more fun and excited with my little Hals. She liked Christmas because she got her new baby dolls. We spent the night at my parents and opened presents in the morning.

I was lucky to get this shot of Halle, she was walking that baby in her new stroller all over the place, she wouldn't stop for a picture! She is such a good mommy!
Daddy making Halle laugh!

This was pretty funny, Lani and I got "The Tales of Beedle the Bard" (harry potter stuff, yeah we are nerds!) and . . .Russ and Kevin got "The Dark Night" on DVD. They were making fun of us in this picture if you can't tell.I used a different camera at Russ's parents house, and I don't know where my cord is, so I will be posting those later.

P.S. Halle is doing better and we are just hanging in there until she gets all the way better.
